      Hi Daniel,

Physical activity and sleep are important health factors for all ages, particularly in young people. Sleep is of the utmost importance to all areas of adolescent functioning, including academic, psychological, emotional and behavioural. Not achieving sufficient physical activity as a child can incrase the risk of heart disease, diabetes and obesity later in life. Children with higher physical activity levels are more likely to experience good sleep. The two behaviours are so closely related, we need to understand the impact on each behaviour of increased or decreased levels of either.
