Question: What was it like having your research featured in the news?

At the time it was exciting, but also a little scary – these days you always run the risk of getting negative attention online, especially writing about a topic like gender that many people have passionate views about. I was glad to have support from the media from the British Psychology Society. We had written the blog post together beforehand, and they handled the reporter from the Daily Mail at the conference. We did get a couple of trolling tweets directed at us from fake twitter accounts, but simply ignored that and let them fade away.
