• Question: What mental illness do you believe should have the most attention within psychology research?

      This is a tricky one and making me think. I think I would say depression as I know that rates are rising and I think that if we can do better at managing this in young people, we can improve things for adults too (as they become those adults). It would help to reduce rates of suicide and self-harm indirectly too. It’s a tough call between that an anxiety as that is a huge issue too and seems to be affecting even younger children these days.

      What do you think? I would be interested to hear your thoughts about this.

      I agree it’s depression – it’s very wide spread and often fatal (look up the suicide rate, especially for men).
