Good question (I think I can answer too). I actually didn’t have any particular interest in pain but loved health research. I really developed the love for my subject when I came to an interview for my Research Assistant job here at the Uni of Bath. I had a few interviews lined up but came to this one and was so inspired by the project team (clinical staff who worked with young people with pain and researchers in this area) that I knew this was the job for me. Thankfully I got the job and then loved the area so much that I stayed and did my PhD in this area. The rest is history as they say!

I love working with clinicians and seeing how our research can make a difference to young people with ongoing pain and their families.
