I think it will effect the opportunity to apply for european funding pots such as horizon funding, however research can take place without funding, and also extends beyond europe. For example I am pursuing collborations in australia, the USA and Saudi Arabia at the moment.
This is a good question. We are seeing the same as Tom and sadly already not being asked as much (or at least people are questioning whether to invite us as UK unis) to be partners in European funding. This is really bad news of course as we have afair amount of European grant funding across the uni. But personally, I tend to work at UK level and apply for UK funding or collaborate with others in Canada and the US in particular. Obviously this won’t be affected by Brexit.
