• Question: Do you like rugby league and if so what team do you support or what team would you support?

      Hi Niamh,

      I played union growing up then played league in Widnes for a few years. My first rugby shirt was a Wales Union shirt so they’re my main team. Although I’ve played in Widnes, I’ve been to watch St Helen’s a few times with a friend so I’d probably have to say them. Sorry if you don’t like St Helens!

    Personally I don’t watch spectator sports. I enjoy playing games and interactive entertainment, not in watching other play. I recognise watching sport does seem to make a lot of people happy in a harmless way, even if I don’t experience it myself. I believe it’s due to a sense of identification forming with the team, so people are emotionally invested despite not actually having any ability to alter the outcome.
