The Childhood Zone student winner is…

Fran, congratulations! During every event we ask the psychologists and moderators to nominate their top student — one who’s made the most of the event, shown enthusiasm and asked some really great questions. Fran from St John Rigby College was nominated by the psychologists for their “amazing and insightful questions in the evening chat” and for their ASK questions, which included “What types of social skills do we adapt to learn as we age?” and, showing an interest in the activity itself, “Do you find these chats beneficial?”. As the student winner, Fran will receive a certificate and a gift voucher. Well done to Fran, and to everyone who took part. There were so many interesting questions, and comments, but there could only be one winner in each zone. PS: YOU now have the power to say which scientists and engineers take part next time — click here to be … Continue reading

Thank you from your winner – Abbie!

Students! Did you do your profile survey? Check your email for a chance to win a £20 voucher and tell us what you think now! Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone that voted for me. I am utterly amazed to have won in the Childhood Zone and still can’t quite believe it. It’s slowly sinking in! I was astounded at the range and quality of questions that we were asked in our zone, from our thoughts about the nature/nurture debate, the relationship between social media and wellbeing to whether mermaids are real. I was blown away by the detailed questions about my … Continue reading
